So we searched far and wide and the best venue was sitting right under our noses.
While we knew where we were getting hitched (St Rita’s) we didn’t have a specific reception venue in mind. We searched a LOT on the internet, hit up our family/friends for their opinions, visited a few we had in mind as options, but none seemed to fit right or they were already booked.
Everything happens for a reason… (Stew seems to regurgitate this daily…or at least weekly)
THEN, we were slapped on the forehead by God’s loving hand! Duh…we are parishioners at St Rita where we attend weekly (sometimes daily) and they [we] have an awesome site right on the St Rita grounds. And bonus, we have tables there. Double bonus, we have a kitchen there to make catering easier! TRIPLE bonus, the ceremony and reception is all in one area so it makes everything easier to plan and schedule! QUADRUPLE BONUS, it’s FREE (though we’ll make a donation to St Rita of course!) which means more money for the honeymoon! YAY!
Our plan is an outdoor reception anyway, so it works out perfect with our outdoor, backyard party theme. Yep, if you didn’t already know, we are both pretty simple people and our focus has always been on the adventure of life with those we love. Family is everything and we want to have an awesome day of fun with them!
