We are so very excited to have you celebrate with us as we enter into the Sacrament of Marriage and begin our lives together. We feel blessed in so many ways and want to share those blessings with others. As a result, we have decided that in lieu of gifts, we would like to invite you to make a charitable donation in our honor. We have chosen some of our favorite charities and included them on our registry page.
Our first and favorite charity is to our church, Saint Rita’s. We are so blessed to be part of such a vibrant and beautiful church community. St. Rita’s has been Jenna’s home church for over 23 years and Stewart’s for 7 years. We have both watched St. Rita’s grow over the years and even outgrow some of the facilities. Our religious education programs are busting at the seams and for some larger parish events our parish hall just isn’t large enough anymore! The church has been raising funds to build a Family Life Center. This building will be constructed on the lawn where we will be holding our wedding reception! The Family Life Center will house religious education programs for all ages and stages, as well as events large and small (maybe even other parishioners’ wedding receptions too!) As we start our lives and family together, we would be so honored if you would consider making a donation to our Family Life Center.
We also have listed Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida. Both organizations help those in need regardless of religion, race or national origin. Catholic Relief Services helps those all over the world whereas Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida supports those in need within our diocese (from Pensacola to Tallahassee).
Finally, our sweet pups, Emma and Roux are so special to us. They’re both rescues and so we decided to also include our local animal shelter, Alaqua Animal Refuge.
